Geely Galaxy Automobile announced on September 4 that its all-new SUV, the Galaxy M9, will officially go on sale on September 17. Pre-sales for the vehicle, which concluded on August 23, ranged from 193,800 to 258,800 yuan. Pre-sales exceeded 40,000 units within 24 hours. Positioned as a large SUV, the Galaxy M9 offers a six-seat configuration and is equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid engine paired with a three-speed DHT transmission. The vehicle, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, boasts a range of up to 230 km with CLTC pure electric power and over 1,500 km with CLTC combined power. It also features the Qianli Haohan H5 driver assistance system.
Its appearance, with its simple, rounded overall design, embraces the family design style. The new vehicle's front fascia features a closed design with an active heat dissipation grille and a full-length light strip featuring 380 integrated micro-LED lamp beads. It also features a matrix headlight cluster and ADB adaptive anti-glare. It can actively block oncoming vehicles at night, and features AFS tracking steering and other functions.
The body is well-balanced with 21-inch multi-spoke wheels and chrome window frames, creating a visually striking appearance. The new car also boasts the use of traditional mechanical door handles instead of concealed door handles. The new car will also be offered with 20-inch wheels with 255/50 R20 tires and 21-inch wheels with 265/45 R21 tires.
The rear design is rich in layers, featuring primarily horizontal lines, and features a transitional taillight cluster with 436 LED light beads. The "GEELY" illuminated letter logo is also located in the center of the taillight for increased recognition.
The dimensions are 5205 mm long, 1999 mm wide, and 1800 mm high, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3030 mm. The vehicle features a 2+2+2 six-seater layout, two independent second-row seats, and a flat rear floor. Its overall dimensions are similar to the Geely M8 and Ideal L9.
The interior features a 30-inch 6K integrated display, creating a dual-screen visual effect and supporting both full-screen and split-screen viewing. The new vehicle also features a 12.66-inch embedded full LCD instrument cluster and AR-HUD head-up display, creating a strong sense of technology. The new vehicle also features a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with manual gear shifting.
In terms of cockpit, the new vehicle will be equipped with the Flyme Auto 2 vehicle system, which features an integrated Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and supports both the AI voice-enabled large model and the AI fluid memory large model.
Configuration-wise, it features a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen, a smart heating and cooling refrigerator, a 256-color ambient lighting system, a 27-speaker audio system, a rear small table, rear independent air conditioning, rear privacy glass, the first two rows of seats support heating/ventilation/massage, and the third row seats support a 150-degree recline angle and other luxurious configurations.
In terms of intelligent assisted driving, the Qianli Haohan H5 will be equipped with the intelligent driving system, which supports features such as mapless NOA, intelligent parking, AEB 130 km/h high-speed braking, G-AES universal obstacle avoidance, continuous emergency steering, and obstacle avoidance.
Power-wise, it is equipped with the next-generation Thor EM-P AI electric hybrid system, consisting of a 1.5T plug-in hybrid engine, an electric motor, and a 3-speed DHT transmission. It offers two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. The maximum power output of the motor is 120 kilowatts, while the two-wheel drive version has a maximum power output of 180 kilowatts. The total power output of the system is 300 kilowatts and a total torque of 605 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers in 7.7 seconds and has a fuel consumption of 4.9 L/100 km with CLTC.
The all-wheel-drive version features a rear-wheel-drive motor with a maximum output of 340 kilowatts. The system delivers a total output of 640 kilowatts, 1,165 Nm of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers (0-62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, a top speed of 210 km/h, and fuel consumption of 5.5 liters/100 km (100 liters/100 km) with CLTC support.
In terms of battery life, the new vehicle features Ningde Times lithium iron phosphate battery packs with capacities of 18.4 kWh and 41.46 kWh. CLTC pure electric ranges are 100 km, 230 km, and 210 km (100 km) respectively (all-wheel drive). The CLTC's overall range exceeds 1,500 km.
Looking at the current market situation, its main competitors include the Deep Blue S09, Ideal L8, Wenjie M8, BYD Tang L, and Weipai Blue Mountain.
